twofour54 is helping a GCC youth organisation to inspire women across the Gulf by providing its #WeCanDoIt campaign with 1,056 hours of post-production services.
twofour54 is supporting the campaign under its social responsibility initiative, United4UAE, which aims to give back 2,454 hours to the community through volunteering and other charitable activities.
The #WeCanDoIt campaign was devised by Kuwaiti based youth organisation, WEORITU, last year and aims to raise awareness and inspire a global movement through positive advice and words of encouragement for women in the Gulf and beyond by focusing on accomplished Arab women. So far, the team has interviewed more than 130 women and has released a short film on WEORITU’s YouTube Channel a year ago sharing the advice from the women filmed. The women interviewed represent diverse age demographics and career backgrounds. The women were nominated as individuals who stood out and excelled in their chosen pursuits. The UAE’s Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Chairwoman of twofour54, Noura Al Kaabi, was one of the women interviewed for the campaign.
In total, twofour54 will contribute 1,056 hours of post-production support to the project, with two editors working out of two edit suites over three months to turn the interview footage into 130 individual videos as ‘Journeys’. The campaign kicks off this week and will run throughout next year.
Commenting on twofour54’s involvement in the project, twofour54 Acting CEO Maryam Al Mheiri, said: “twofour54 is committed to supporting community-based projects that leave a positive impact on the world and the #WeCanDoIt campaign is a great example of that. Women in the Gulf are doing amazing things that make a huge contribution to the progress of our region and it is important that these inspiring stories are shared. twofour54 is proud to be able to offer its skills to support and enable this worthwhile campaign.”
Founder of WEORITU, the organisation behind the #WeCanDoIt campaign, Taibah AlQatami, also commented: “We are grateful for the support of twofour54 in helping us share incredible stories of more than 130 women from the Gulf to the world through social media. twofour54 is known throughout the region as a hub for quality content creation and we would not think of a better partner to help us post-produce the ‘Journeys’ segment and shape a campaign that we hope will inspire women of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities to reach for the stars.”
#United4UAE was launched by twofour54 for the UAE’s 44th National Day to celebrate the nation’s unity in purpose, values and ambitions by giving back to the local community. Through the United4UAE initiative, twofour54 pledges to devote 2,454 volunteer hours from employees and its partners on campus to community organisations and charities. As part of this year’s celebrations for the 45th National Day, twofour54 announced that it had achieved a total 3,314 volunteer hours, 30 per cent more than its original target.
