The new trailer of ‘6 Underground’ was released today, including scenes in Abu Dhabi featuring Ryan Reynolds and helmed by award-winning director Michael Bay.
During filming in November 2018, Netflix and Skydance Media worked closely with twofour54 Abu Dhabi, which provided full production services for the 30-day shoot across four locations, Liwa desert, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
H.E. Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Vice-Chair of twofour54, said: “We are delighted to see Abu Dhabi yet again featuring so prominently in a major international production. It was a pleasure to welcome Netflix back to our Emirate and to support such a smooth and seamless shoot.”
‘6 Underground’ is one of numerous Hollywood productions to choose Abu Dhabi as a location, benefiting from its diverse array of 700+ locations, talented professionals, award-winning facilities and the 30% cash rebate on production and post-production spend from Abu Dhabi Film Commission. It also marked the return of industry pioneer Netflix to Abu Dhabi, which filmed the comedy ‘War Machine’, starring Brad Pitt, in the Emirate in 2015.
