Sajid Nadiadwala praises Abu Dhabi and twofour54 for their role in the production of Dishoom.
twofour54 welcomed Sajid Nadiadwala, owner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and executive producer of Bollywood’s forthcoming action adventure, Dishoom, to Abu Dhabi.
Maryam Al Mheiri, COO of twofour54 met with Nadiadwala and Dishoom star, John Abraham, at the Yas Viceroy hotel and commented: “We are delighted to welcome Sajid Nadiadwala and his production company back to Abu Dhabi to film Dishoom. Abu Dhabi has become the second home for Bollywood producers having secured major productions such as Bang Bang, Baby, and now Dishoom over the past two years. Abu Dhabi offers a comprehensive package to producers looking to film here. Our unique rebate scheme and the diversity of locations position Abu Dhabi prominently on the regional and international production map and we look forward to welcoming more projects to the Capital soon.”
While on set, Nadiadwala said: “We are having a great experience shooting Dishoom in the exotic locations of Abu Dhabi which synchronise seamlessly with my script. We scouted all over the world before zeroing down on Abu Dhabi and the teams from twofour54 and Abu Dhabi Film Commission work in great harmony with mine. Abu Dhabi is a very film friendly place and we are confident that the remaining filming days will be just as successful.”
The cast and crew of Dishoom arrived in Abu Dhabi last week for a filming schedule of 40 days across 30 different locations, the Capital’s longest feature filming project to date. The film stars John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles and is directed by Rohit Dhawan.
