The “academy open house” will provide prospective students with a hands-on experience of the Cartoon Network Animation Academy and the twofour54 Gaming Academy in partnership with Ubisoft.
twofour54, the commercial arm of Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi, has organised a monthly “academy open house” which will provide prospective students with a hands-on experience of the Cartoon Network Animation Academy and the twofour54 Gaming Academy in partnership with Ubisoft.
The initiative was launched this month by tadreeb academies, the Gaming Academy and the Cartoon Network Academy. Ubisoft Abu Dhabi’s General Manager Yannick Theler and Cartoon Network Arabia’s Creative Director Adam Khwaja provided visitors with career guidance and industry insight on what it takes to work in the creative sector in Abu Dhabi. In addition to industry expertise, the instructors from both courses shared information around the full-time training programmes with the next intakes happening in March 2015.
Maryam Al Mheiri, Chief Operation Officer, twofour54, said: “The enrolment initiative has been designed to give visitors and participants the chance to interact with the academies’ students, try out the equipment and participate in typical classroom activities. Instructors will provide clarity on enrolment procedures and curriculum as well as offer feedback on participants’ portfolios.”
The next four open house days have been scheduled for 2 October, 6 November, 11 December and 8 January, 2015 and will feature a drawing workshop and hosted interactive gaming sessions as well as classes on 2D and 3D animation and digital painting. Attendees will also receive a 10% discount on all full-time training courses commencing in 2015.
