Second batch of intaji students successfully complete 12 months media traineeship
19 Feb 2013
The second intake of intaji students, the employment and traineeship programme developed by twofour54 especially for UAE nationals, has celebrated its graduation with Noura Al Kaabi, Chief Executive of twofour54, a Media Zone Authority company.
Speaking at the students’ graduation ceremony, Noura Al Kaabi said: “Congratulations to our second batch of “intaji” graduates. Each of you has shown competence and dedication on this programme. Your efforts have exceeded our expectations and we wish you every success in the future.”
Each intake of intajis receives the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading media organisations. This group has had the chance to work on the 2012 American action-thriller the Bourne Legacy. The intajis experienced the full shoot, shadowing renowned international camera, sound and lighting professionals and they learned what is involved in shooting a high profile, Hollywood feature film.
The intaji programme, launched by twofour54 in 2010, allows students to specialise in a wide-range of media disciplines including camera operations, lighting, media management, audio, video and graphics during its 12 month duration. It gives students an insight into television and broadcasting and aims to encourage Emirati students to consider a career in the media industry. The programme has been developed by twofour54 tadreeb, the region’s leading training academy in co-operation with its global training partners and twofour54 intaj.
On completing the 12 month programme each trainee receives a twofour54 certificate of completion and those that demonstrate the skill, capability and passion required to succeed in this dynamic industry will be assisted in finding permanent employment within the twofour54 creative community of world class media companies.
